KRATIE, July 2024 – At Kratie Resource Kindergarten in Kratie Province, a vibrant culinary event unfolded as young students donned chef hats and participated in a hands-on cooking session, showcasing the school's commitment to innovative educational methods.

This week, the kindergarten hosted a special cooking class that aimed to teach children the basics of culinary arts, the importance of teamwork, and the value of nutrition. The event saw enthusiastic participation from dozens of students, who prepared a variety of dishes using local vegetables and ingredients sourced directly from the school's own garden.

Guided by their teachers, the children learned to identify different herbs and vegetables, understand their nutritional benefits, and master the art of cooking simple, healthy meals. The activities were specifically designed to promote an understanding of food sources and healthy eating habits from a young age.

The cooking session was part of the kindergarten’s broader initiative to integrate practical life skills into the curriculum, aiming to build a foundation for lifelong learning and curiosity in its students. As the children proudly presented their dishes, the event highlighted a successful day of learning and discovery, with the air filled with excitement and the aroma of freshly cooked meals.
